The Moses Lake School District is seeking applications for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for 2018-2019 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Washington State E.S.A. Speech and Language Pathologist certification.
  2. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency or Clinical Fellowship Year
  3. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required to submit a driving abstract.
  4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES

  1. Ability to work cooperatively with students, parents, and school personnel.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Serves as a resource to school staff members in the development of speech and language programs.
  2. Provides thorough assessment and diagnosis of speech and language difficulties.
  3. Assists in appropriate referrals of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community.
  4. Provides individualized programs of therapy to meet students’ needs and correct existing speech or language difficulties.
  5. Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy  for the student’s daily activities.
  6. Provides information and support to parents and families when appropriate.
  7. Willingness to work a modified school-year calendar.
  8. Must have excellent attendance.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
