QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY: 

1. Be a high school graduate or be enrolled in the AVID Tutor option at MLHS. 
2. Possess effective organizational skills.
3. Possess personal attributes of integrity and respect for other as well as the ability to work effectively in collaborative teams.
4. Able to implement goals, lead tutorial groups, manage multiple task and meet deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assure program quality and achievement of AVID’s standards represented in the AVID essentials by:
2. Minimally complete training in WICOR and the AVID tutorial process.
3. Implement the goals and objectives of AVID tutorials by using AVID strategies and the AVID tutorials materials effectively.
4. Work collaboratively with groups of AVID students
5. Participate in on-going coaching and debriefing in inquiry and the AVID tutorial process by AVID trained site personnel.
6. Monitor the tutorial work of assigned tutorial groups of AVID students to ensure their effective participation and growth.
