Substitute Salary Schedule

 

 

 

The Moses Lake School District is seeking applications for a School Nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Current and valid Registered Nurse license required, with a Bachelor of Science nursing degree preferred.
  2. Ability to obtain a Washington State Educational Staff Associate (E.S.A.) School Nurse certification.
  3. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable.
DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES:
  1. Strong ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
  2. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, students, school personnel, and medical service providers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Communicates tactfully with students, parents, and staff personnel regarding health issues.
  2. Serves as a liaison between school personnel and medical services.
  3. Develop and manage Individualized Health Plans
  4. Train and supervise school staff in the administrating of medication per district policy.
  5. Train and act as a resource to school personnel regarding infections, disease, and immunizations.
  6. Monitors compliance with State mandated health screening and health education.
  7. Organize and maintain health-related documents. Ability to keep electronic records.
  8. Provides staff training/education/in-service on health and safety-related issues.
  9. Willingness to work modified school calendar and various hours.
  10. Willingness to train and supervise other licensed and non-licensed personnel.
  11. Must have excellent attendance.
  12. Other duties as assigned.
