The Moses Lake School District is seeking highly qualified applications for a Special Education Early Learning Teacher/ Case Manager. 

 

 

Position Overview:
This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with a dynamic early learning special education team to support students during their critical developmental years. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong IEP case management skills, a passion for early intervention, and the ability to adapt and design individualized learning programs that foster inclusive and supportive learning environments.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Teacher Certification.
  • Special Education endorsement.
  • Preferred: Early Childhood Education (ECE) endorsement.

 

Successful Experience In:

  • Teaching students with a full range of disabilities, including Autism.
  • Early Childhood Education and early intervention programming.
  • Collaborating effectively with general education teachers, special education staff, specialists, educational assistants, and families.
  • Planning and implementing Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) to meet individual student needs.
  • Writing, reviewing, and managing IEPs, including scheduling and leading IEP meetings.
  • Adapting and differentiating curriculum to support student success.
  • Demonstrating sensitivity to cultural diversity and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Meeting deadlines with exceptional organizational skills while maintaining flexibility.

 

Demonstrated Abilities

  • Leading and guiding collaborative, multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes.
  • Problem-solving in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Supervising and managing educational assistant(s) to run multiple groups within the classroom.
  • Establishing strong relationships with families and adhering to confidentiality.
  • Willingness to work with students with significant medical needs and/or behavioral challenges.
  • Participating in the transition process from Early Learning to Kindergarten to ensure smooth educational continuity.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Washington State WACs (Part C-B) and early childhood special education services.
  • Maintaining excellent attendance and a positive, team-oriented approach to program needs.

 

Other Responsiblities:

  • Act as a resource for the school community on special education matters.
  • Support shared decision-making processes and foster team collaboration.
  • Stay current with district resources and participate in ongoing training.
  • Evaluate student progress and adjust programming to maximize growth and learning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.

  1. This position will be evaluated using the Danielson Coaching Matrix.
